Building & Grounds Committee

Jimmie Pellerin
Absent: Alton Stevenson
Committee member Catherine LaCombe called the meeting to order.
Mrs. Lacombe requested the Secretary include discussion regarding
the Rice Arena Building to the agenda.
It was recommended that an update on the warranty work at the Arena
be included on the regular meeting agenda scheduled for Tuesday,
November 18, 2003.
Mr. Dennis Abshire, Abshire Roofing, asked the committee to consider
the sale of an alternate 1.3 acre tract of land in the Crowley/Rayne
Industrial Park. The alternate tract is located directly across from
the large manufacturing facility. It was agreed that the lot extend
rectangularly from Industrial Drive adjacent to the drainage
servitude the full depth of the west side tract. This would give
approximately 125 feet of frontage.
The Committee recommended selling to Mr. Dennis Abshire a 1.3 acre
alternate tract of land in the Crowley/Rayne Industrial Park for the
originally agreed price of $8,500 per acre. All conditions
previously set forth pertaining to the original tract would still be
in force.
THERE BEING NO FURTHER BUSINESS TO COME BEFORE THE COMMITTEE,
THE MEETING WAS ADJOURNED UNTIL THE NEXT REGULARLY SCHEDULED
COMMITTEE MEETING.
