Acadia Parish Police Jury met on Wednesday, September 13, 2006, in the
Courthouse Building, Police Jury Meeting Room, Crowley.

It was motioned and duly seconded that all action items contained
in this report were taken, reviewed and discussed by the Legislative Committee
and are to be presented as agenda items. Motion carried.

The committee recommended that Legal Counsel be
directed
to
review and report on the Uniform State Construction Code
and
matters related thereto. THERE BEING NO FURTHER BUSINESS TO COME BEFORE THE COMMITTEE, THE
CHAIRMAN ADJOURNED THE MEETING UNTIL THE NEXT REGULARLY SCHEDULED COMMITTEE
MEETING.
The Personnel Committee of the
Acadia Parish Police Jury met immediately following the Legislative Committee on
Wednesday, September 13, 2006, in the Courthouse Building, Police Jury Meeting
Room, Crowley.
It was motioned and duly seconded that all action items contained
in this report were taken, reviewed and discussed by the Personnel Committee and
are to be presented as agenda items. Motion carried.

Without objection the Committee added the topic of
Personnel Manual to the agenda 1.
The committee recommended hiring Mr. Leo
Rogers as material handler
for the Recycling Center at a salary of $8.00
per hour.
2.
The committee recommended a pay adjustment
for Mr. Clayton Smith
from $9.00 per hour to $9.50 per hour due to CDL
licensure.
3.
The committee recommended that Ms. Rhonda
Thibodeaux be
promoted to the position of Animal Control Supervisor
effective
October 1, 2006 at a salary of $8.67 per hour.
4.
The committee recommended the Parish
advertiser to fill the position
of Animal Control Assistant at a salary
to $7.00 per hour.

Acadia Parish Police Jury met immediately following the Personnel Committee on
Wednesday September 13, 2006, in the Courthouse Building, Police Jury Meeting
Room, Crowley.
It was motioned and duly seconded that all action items contained in
this report were taken, reviewed and discussed by the Finance Committee

along Mardi Gras and Susie Road to the agenda.

The committee recommended the approval of payment of bills for the
month
of August.

The committee recommended the approval of the Parish financial
statements through July 2006.
3.
The committee recommended the approval of the Sales Tax Reports.
4.
The committee recommended the approval of the District Attorney’s
request to authorize the use of Criminal Court funds to
supplement
funding for the Acadiana Crime Lab.
5.
The committee recommended the appointment of Broussard, Poché,
Lewis and Breaux as Parish auditor.
6.
The committee recommended the approval of the budget
adjustments.
7.
The committee recommended the adoption of a resolution providing
for the
giving of notice of intent to
construct street paving
improvements along Mardi Gras Lane and Susie Drive.

The Mosquito Control Committee of the Acadia
Parish Police Jury met immediately following the Finance Committee on Wednesday
September 13, 2006, in the Courthouse Building, Police Jury Meeting Room,
Crowley. It was motioned and duly seconded that all action items contained in this report
were taken, reviewed and discussed by the Mosquito Control Committee and are to
be presented as agenda items. Motion carried
MOSQUITO CONTROL COMMITTEE

Mosquito Control.

The committee recommended authorizing the purchase of a truck for
Mosquito Control under state procurement contract or
