The Building and Grounds Committee of the Acadia Parish Police Jury met at 5:45 P.M. on Wednesday, July 14, 2010, in the Police Jury Meeting Room. Present were Messrs. John Quebodeaux, Chairman and Alton Stevenson. Absent was Felton Moreau.

A motion was offered by Mr. Alton Stevenson, seconded by Mr. John Quebodeaux, to recommend that the Police Jury authorize Mr. Lee Hebert to obtain proposals for placing metal detectors at the front door of the Acadia Parish Courthouse and for the installation of a key swipe system for the other entrances to the Acadia Parish Courthouse. It was also recommended to the Police Jury that the Parish Attorney issue a legal opinion to the Jury as to who is responsible for providing Courthouse Security.

THERE BEING NO FURTHER BUSINESS TO COME BEFORE THE COMMITTEE, THE CHAIRMAN ADJOURNED THE MEETING UNTIL THE NEXT REGULARLY SCHEDULED COMMITTEE MEETING.
