The Acadia Parish
Landfill in Egan serves the entire parish with dignity and respect.
We work well within the mandates of the laws and regulations
established by the United States Environmental Protection Agency
(EPA) and the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ).
In 2002, the landfill earned its seventh consecutive DEQ Compliance
Award.
Acadia Parish is a good community in which to live.
We have a good solid waste and garbage collection program. The
landfill in Egan is one of the best from an environmental view.
We urge everyone to participate in our recycling
efforts each and every year. We can accomplish our waste
reduction goals by continual investments in research and
development. Independently we can all take part.
