The Industrial Development
Board of the Parish of Acadia met in regular session Tuesday
November 14, 2006, at 6:30
PM, in the Police Jury Meeting Room, third floor, Courthouse
Building, Crowley, Louisiana.

Members absent:
Fred Gossen Chairperson, Obie Hulin,
Jesse Wilson, Cecilia Chambers Ex-officio
Vice-Chairperson Kayla Link called
the meeting to order, called roll and declared a quorum present.
A motion was offered by Keith Henry
and seconded by Austin Cormier to approve the minutes of the October
24, 2006 organizational meeting. Motion carried.
Secretary/Treasurer, Katry Martin,
reviewed in detail proposed by-laws for the organization. The
members were offered an opportunity to comment prior to taking
action.
A motion was offered by Keith Henry
duly seconded by Thomas Freeland to adopt the By-Laws of the Acadia
Industrial Development Board was presented. Motion carried.
Bond Attorney, Lonnie Bewely, gave a
detailed overview of the duties and responsibilities of the Board in
particular the matter of issuing industrial bonds for the purpose of
funding certain development projects. In addition emphasis was
placed on available initiatives following the recent storm events.
Due to no
further business, the meeting was adjourned.
