The
Acadia Parish Planning Commission met in regular session on Tuesday,
December 5, 2000 at 4:30 P.M. in the Police Jury Meeting Room, third
floor Courthouse Building, Crowley, Louisiana.

Chairman, Leonard Spears, called the meeting to order.
A motion was offered by Florette Bergeron seconded by Martin
Guillory, Jr. to approve the minutes of the October 17, 2000
meeting. Motion carried.
Engineer, Karl Aucoin, provided comments on the plat submitted by
Mr. Martin Zaunbrecher, Jr. on Quarter Pole Estates. Mr. Aucoin
indicated that homes currently exist and the modifications were
minor in nature and would submit in writing comments to the
developer.
A review was conducted of Richard Prairie Estate and a request was
made to waive the need to comply with the current requirements for
subdivision developments.
A motion was offered by Florette Bergeron seconded by Martin
Guillory, Jr. to deny the request to waive the requirements to
submit plans for review as required by the current subdivision
ordinance. Motion Carried.
A review was conducted of Richard Subdivision submitted by the
Prevost Agency. Karl Aucoin outlined the following comments:
‒ Health Department approval needed
‒ Drainage information was required
‒ Future upkeep of Tulane Road required
‒ Culvert sizes on plans
The Chairman announced without objection that election of officers
would be postponed until the January 16th, 2001 meeting.
Due to no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
