Chairman, Leonard Spears, called the meeting to order.
A motion was offered by Betty Pousson and seconded by Jason Gossen
to approve the minutes of the October 29, 2002 meeting. Motion
carried.
A request to waive subdivision requirements and allow the issuance
of building permits for property located in Section Forty, Township
Seven South, Range Two East was made by Lorie McGee, Title Attorney
for the potential buyer. She indicated that no subdivision plat was
on file with the Clerk showing the adjacent development where more
than 4 lots had been sold and also stated that the adjacent lot
owners were issued permits as well as utilities. The property is
situated between Edmonia Drive and Mary Rosa Lane belonging to the
widow of Roosevelt Jagneaux.
Chairman Spears suggested the owner prepare a plat of all the lots
sold for review by the Commission. This position was supported by
Betty Pousson. Florette Bergeron thought more than a simple plat
should be required.
Ms. McGee reminded that all the utilities and infrastructure is
currently in place for use by the property owners.
A motion was offered by Florette Bergeron and seconded by Jason
Gossen to delay action on the request to waive the subdivision
requirements and not allow permits for the property owned by Enola
Jagneaux situated in Section Forty, Township Seven South, Range Two
East pending the submission of a preliminary plat. Motion carried.
The next meeting was scheduled for January 21, 2003 at 4:30 p.m.
Due to no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
