The Acadia Parish Planning
Commission met in regular session Tuesday August 17, 2004 at 4:30 p.m.
in the Police Jury Meeting Room, third floor, Courthouse Building,
Crowley, Louisiana.

Chairman Jason Gossen called the meeting to order.
A motion was offered by Randall Boutte and seconded by Thomas Sonnier to
approve the minutes of the July 27, 2004 regular meeting. Motion
carried.
The Chairman called a public hearing to order to receive comments on
MOWATA PRAIRIE ESTATES SUBDIVISION consisting of lots 1-6 situated in
section 17, township 8 south, range 1 east, Acadia Parish, Louisiana.
No comments were offered and the Chairman adjourned the hearing.
The membership considered preliminary and final review of Mowata Prairie
Estates. Engineering comments provided that offset distance should be
shown from iron rods set at approximately 60' east of west property line
on drawing and evidence of plat filed with water works and health
authority approval had not been provided.
A motion was offered by Charles Andrus and seconded by Betty Pousson to
approve the preliminary and final plans for Mowata Prairie Estates
subject to compliance with recommendations of the Parish Engineer.
Motion carried.
Plat submitted by Nelda Trahan was presented. Errors to the plat were
recognized and the Secretary was advised to notify the surveyor to make
the necessary corrections.
Mr. David Bertrand requested information relative to a planned mobile
home park development on Standard Mill Road. He also discussed drainage
problems in that area. He was referred to the subdivision regulations
for planning.
The next meeting was scheduled for September 21, 2004.
Due to no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
