The
Acadia Parish Planning Commission met in regular session Tuesday,
February 17, 2004 at 4:30 p.m. in the Police Jury Meeting Room,
third floor, Courthouse Building, Crowley, Louisiana.

Chairman, Jason Gossen called the meeting to order.
A motion was offered by Betty Pousson and seconded by Thomas Sonnier
to approve the minutes of the December 2, 2003 regular meeting.
Motion carried.
Tim Mader, Mader Engineering, referenced the transmittal letter
referencing the substantial completion of the street improvements
for Arnold Ledoux Farms Subdivision.
A motion was offered by Betty Pousson seconded by Mary Richard to
approve the final plans for Arnold Ledoux Farms Subdivision. Motion
carried.
A motion was offered by Joey Savoie and seconded by Betty Pousson to
approve the resubdivision of lot 19 in Arnold Ledoux Farms
Subdivision consisting of the creation of a new 1.35 acre lot
subject to a technical review by Mader Engineering. Motion carried.
Chairman Gossen described to members the sequence of events leading
up to the review of Verlon Davis, Jr. Subdivision. The Parish
Engineer then offered the following comments:
1. No name indicated.
2. Waiver to identify of buildings requested.
3. Waiver of elevations for drainage requested.
4. Did comply with additional right-of-way for widening roads.
5. Did comply with utility servitudes.
6. Needed evidence of water and wastewater systems.
7. Fees to be collected.
A motion was offered by Betty Pousson and seconded by Randall Boutte
to deny the request to waive the requirement to identify structures
on the final plat for Davis Subdivision. Motion carried.
A motion was offered by Joey Savoie and seconded by Randall Boutte
to approve the request to waive the requirement to include
topographic elevations on the plat for Davis Subdivision but
drainage patterns are to be required from the professional of record
to indicate the flow of surface water. Motion carried.
A motion was offered by Betty Pousson and seconded by Thomas Sonnier
to direct the professional of record for Davis Subdivision to work
with the Parish Engineer and resubmit a final plat to be addressed
at a special meeting of the Commission. Motion carried.
The next meeting was scheduled for March 16, 2004 at 4:30 p.m.
Due to no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
