Chairman Jason Gossen called the meeting to order.
A motion was offered by Mary Richard and seconded by Charles Andrus
to approve the minutes of the April 20, 2004 regular meeting. Motion
carried.
Engineer Karl Aucoin received drainage plans from the developers of
Jean Mar Estates Subdivision. As of yet permits have not been
obtained from the LA DOTD for the intersection to be constructed at
the State highway. In order to satisfy DOTD requirements plans were
proposed to hold back storm water. Aucoin advised that the plans
were not required by the Parish but the design was not favorable due
to the potential ponding of water on the lots. This message was
conveyed to the developer.
A motion was offered by Charles Andrus and seconded by Joey Savoie
to table the review. Motion Carried.
Several suggested notices were presented on the subject of potential
violations to the subdivision ordinance. Mr. Blane Faulk, Assistant
Parish Clerk, offered to compile the language into one flyer for
distribution.
The next meeting was scheduled for June 15, 2004 at 4:30 p.m.
Due to no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
