A motion was offered by Blane Faulk and seconded by Betty Pousson to
approve the minutes of the January 18, 2005 regular meeting. Motion
carried.
The Commission considered a request to waive planning rules for Mr.
Redley Denais. Mr. Denais was represented by Ms. Lori McGee. Mr.
Denais donated 3 tracts of land to family members, all of which are
being served with utilities. He intends to sell an additional lot.
Chairman Gossen noted the area in question had not been properly
developed.
Betty Pousson suggested the donations be exempt from the regulations
as in inheritances. Mr. Sonnier felt the sale could be exempted and
require additional sales be submitted for review.
A motion offered by Betty Pousson and seconded by Blane Faulk to
exempt donations of lots from the regulations was withdrawn.
A motion was offered by Blane Faulk and seconded by Betty Pousson to
include donations as part of subdivision planning. Motion carried.
A motion was offered by Mr. Thomas Sonnier and seconded by Betty
Pousson to waive the Planning Commission regulations as it pertains
to the sale of a lot situated immediately north of the lot owned by
Barbara Stanford and being part of a 63 acre tract bordered on the
west by White Oak Highway and owned by Redley Denais in Section 1,
T-8-S, R-1-E, Acadia Parish and require that any future sales or
transfers from said tract be presented to the Planning Commission
for review and approval. Motion Carried.
It was indicated that additional clarification of the ordinance
would be needed.
The next meeting was scheduled for May 17, 2005.
Due to no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
