The Acadia Parish Planning Commission met in regular session
Tuesday August 15, 2006, at 4:30 p.m. in the Police Jury Meeting
Room, third floor, Courthouse Building, Crowley, Louisiana.

Chairman Gossen called the meeting to order and the Secretary
called roll.
A motion was offered by Blane Faulk and seconded by Joey Savoie
to approve the minutes of the meeting held June 20, 2006. Motion
carried.
The President convened a public hearing to receive comments on
Brooke Estates, a proposed subdivision situated on an 19.10 acre
tract of land divided into lots 1-15 in Section 17, T-7S, R-1W
Acadia Parish. No comments were received and the President closed
the hearing.
The Parish Engineer listed the following specific issues related
to the the preliminary review of Brooke Estates.
-drainage servitude needed
-improvements and servitude needed between lots 8 and 9
-note showing lots draining to street
-indicate base-flood elevation
-street dedications
-health department approval needed
-indicate private roads on plat
-signature block
-culvert sizes to be indicated fir individual lotsapplication
fee due
-engineer to design access culvert
A motion was offered by Blane Faulk and seconded by Catherine
Lacombe to grant conditional approval of Brooke Estates located in
S-17, T-7S, R1W Acadia Parish requiring changes be implemented as
suggested by the Parish Engineer. Motion carried.
A motion was offered by Blane Faulk and seconded by Joey Savoie
to approve the exchange of lots proposed by Arnold Ledoux Farms,
Inc. situated at the end of Barrel Lane with Edwin Patrick Manuel,
Jr. and Jamie Smith Manuel in order to maintain lot #2 three acres
in size in order to be exempt from review by the Commission. Motion
carried.
The next meeting was scheduled for September 19, 2006
Due to no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
