The Acadia Parish Planning Commission met in regular session
Tuesday November 21, 2006, at 4:30 p.m. in the Police Jury Meeting
Room, third floor, Courthouse Building, Crowley, Louisiana.

Chairman Jason Gossen called the meeting to order, the Secretary
called roll.
A motion was offered by Mary Richard and seconded by Catherine
Lacombe to approve the minutes of the October 23, 2006 special
meeting. Motion carried.
Chairman Gossen convened a public hearing to receive comments on
Lake Cove Estates, a 7.328 tract of land divided into 11 lots
situated in section 8, T-9-S, R-2-E, Vicksburg Road, Acadia Parish.
No comments were offered and the hearing was adjourned.
The Parish Engineer presented the following comments on Lake Cove
Estates:
-Existing utilities not shown
-Enlarge servitude between lots 1 and
2 of Block 2, (drainage to be
covered)
-Identify servitude
-Health and water works

A motion was offered by Joey Savoie and seconded by Mary Richard to
approve the preliminary plat for Lake Cove Estates, a subdivision on
Vicksburg Road situated in S8, T-9-S, R-2-E, Acadia Parish subject
to the conditions set forth by the Parish Engineer. Motion carried.
Chairman Gossen convened a public hearing to receive comments on
a proposed subdivision situated in S 32, T-9-S, R-2-E, Acadia Parish
consisting of 11 lots on 10.517 acres along Monceaux Road to be
named Place D’Acadie Phase I.
No comments were received on Place D’Acadie Phase I subdivision
and the hearing was then closed.
The Parish Engineer offered recommendations on the Phase I of
Place D’Acadie development:
-Need owner/applicant name and
address
-SLEMCO to move service
-Property owner west side not shown
-More access for drainage easement
-Base flood elevation to be indicated
on plat
-Health and water works district
acknowledgment needed
-Sewer discharge to Parish ditch only
A motion was offered by Catherine Lacombe and seconded by Mary
Richard to approve the preliminary plat and drawings for Place
D’Acadie Phase I located on Monceaux Road in S 32, T-9-S, R-2-E,
Acadia Parish. Motion carried.
A motion was offered by Joey Savoie and seconded by Catherine
Lacombe to authorize the President to notify the Office of Public
Health that all subdivisions considered by the Acadia Parish
Planning Commission shall require waste-water discharge to the
public street unless otherwise directed. Motion carried.
The next meeting was scheduled for December 19, 2006
