The Acadia Parish Planning Commission met in regular session Tuesday May 15, 2007, at 4:30 p.m. in the Police Jury Meeting Room, third floor, Courthouse Building, Crowley, Louisiana.

Chairman Jason Gossen called the meeting to order, the Secretary called roll.

No minutes of the last meeting were presented for approval.

Charles Andrus made reference to last two minutes.  Mr. Clyde Hebert is referred to as Mr. Clyde Andrus.

A motion was offered by Mary Richard and seconded by Catherine Lacombe to approve the minutes of the April 17, 2007 and May 15, 2007 meeting as corrected.  Motioned carried.

Chairman Gossen convened a public hearing to receive comments on the Sherall Glenn Latiolais Plat of Survey, 20.737 acres, tracts A-1 thru A-6, situated in S30, T-8-S, R-3-E, Acadia Parish. No comments were offered and the hearing was adjourned.

Small discussion by the members on the first plate submitted which was not clear on the land division, and if it fell under the subdivision guidelines.  The second Plat presented was clearer on the land division. Reference to Section 2C was made.

A motion was offered by Blane Faulk and seconded by Mary Richard to approve the Sherall Glenn Latiolais, Plat of Survey further described as 20.737 acres, Tracts A-1 thru A-6, situated in S30, T-8-S, R-3-E, Acadia Parish, as presented by Hebert Land Surveying, with a Section 2C Subdivision Regulation exclusion contingent on the purchase of Tract A-1 and Tract A-6 by the adjoining property owners.   Motion carried.

Chairman Gossen convened a public hearing to receive comments on a Preliminary/Final Plate for the Place D’Acadie Phase II Subdivision.

No comments were received on Place D’Acadie Phase II subdivision and the hearing was then closed.

The Parish Engineer, Karl Aucoin, offered recommendations on the Phase II of Place D’Acadie development:
An LDOTD driveway connection permit shall be obtained prior to beginning construction.

Engineer of record shall have lime and cement series run upon completion of roadway and ditch shaping for recommendations prior to soil cement stabilization.

A motion was offered by Blane Faulk and seconded by Joey Savoie to approve the preliminary and final plat and drawings for Place D’Acadie Phase II based on the recommendation of Karl Aucoin, Parish Engineer. Motion carried.

The Parish Engineer, Karl Aucoin, offered recommendations on the re-subdivision of Lot 19 of LaDoux Subdivision. 

- Lot 19 can be divided into Lot 19-A and 19-B.

A motion was offered by Blane Faulk and seconded by Joey Savoie to approve the resubdivision of Lot 19, LaDoux Subdivision, into  lots 19-A and 19-B as per the recommendation Parish Engineer, Karl Aucoin. Motion carried.

No comments from the public.

The next meeting was scheduled for June 19, 2007.

Due to no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
