The Acadia Parish Planning Commission met in regular session Tuesday April 15, 2008 at 4:30 p.m. in the Acadia Parish Police Jury Meeting Room, Third Floor, Courthouse Building, Crowley, Louisiana.

A motion was offered by Ms. Catherine Lacombe, seconded by Mr. Clyde Hebert, and carried, to revise the agenda to include Mr. Floyd Bergeaux with Allen Bergeaux Estate.A motion was made by Ms. Catherine Lacombe, seconded by Mr. Clyde Hebert to disperse with the reading of the minutes of the November 20, 2007 meeting. Motion carried.
The Commission reviewed the plat of survey presented by Larry & Mary Richard. Engineer, Mr. Karl Aucoin, recommended the following:
A. The plat needs to be revised to allow for a ditch servitude along with
accompanying ditch, or, a note on the plat that the drainage will be
the responsibility of each lot owner with the water draining to the
nearest public drain.
B. The name of the subdivision needs to be on the final plat.
C. Signature lines need to be placed on the final plat.
D. A letter is needed from the water corporation or a note on the plat
that the individual lot owner will have to have a water well drilled on
the lot.
E. A letter from the Acadia Parish Sanitation approving the sewer
treatment system.A motion was offered by Clyde Hebert, seconded by Ms. Catherine Lacombe, and carried, to accept the Preliminary and Final Plats once the above items are included and further that the plat and improvements are approved by the Parish Engineer, Karl Aucoin, and the Parish Road Supervisor, Robert Bergeaux.
No one was present to discuss Begneaud Estate. No action needed.
Discussion was made on property located on Charlie Arceneaux Road. Ms. Mary Richard is to talk with Clerk of Court and report back to the Secretary of Commission.
Mr. Floyd Bergeaux with Allen Bergeaux Estate appeared before the commission. The commission decided no action needed.
A motion to adjourn until next regular meeting scheduled for May 20, 2008 was made by Mr. Charles Andrus and seconded by Ms. Catherine Lacombe. Meeting adjourned.
