The Acadia Parish Planning Commission met in regular session Tuesday December 16, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. in the Acadia Parish Police Jury Meeting Room, Third Floor, Courthouse Building, Crowley, Louisiana.

The meeting was called to order by Mr. Jason Gossen, Chairman.
A motion was offered by Mr. Charles Andrus, seconded by Catherine Lacombe , and carried, to accept the minutes of the meeting of September 16, 2008.
A motion was offered by Mr. Blane Faulk, seconded by Mr. Clyde Hebert to accept the preliminary plans of Mire Ridge Phase I subject to the following:
1) No drainage servitudes indicated on plat. Engineer Karl Aucoin recommends drainage note on revised plat include language that the property owner shall be responsible to drain lot rear to front highway ditch.
2) Obtain letter from Mire-Branch Water District that the District agrees to provide water to the development.
3) Letter from the health authority that the wastewater disposal method is acceptable.
4) The dedication note on the plat should be revised to exclude Acadia Parish Police Jury and drainage as there are no drainage servitudes to be dedicated.A motion was offered by Mr. Blane Faulk, seconded by Ms. Mary Richard and carried to approve the request of the developer of Magnolia Estates, Phase II, to waive the requirement of a maxium block length of 1,000 feet.
A motion was offered by Mr. Blane Faulk, seconded by Ms. Mary Richard, and carried, to approve the preliminary plans of Magnolia Estates, Phase II, subject to the following:
1) Evidence that methods of water supply and wastewater disposal are acceptable to health authority.
2) Evidence of preliminary plat filed with water works or wastewater districtThere being no further business to come before the Commission, the meeting was adjourned until the next regular meeting scheduled for January 20, 2009 at 4:30 p.m.

It was announced by the Chairman that notice had been given that the Acadia Parish Planning Commission would hold a public hearing on Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at 4:30 P.M., Police Jury Meeting Room, Courthouse Building, Crowley, Louisiana, to receive comments on Magnolia Estates Phase II.
No comments were received.
