CROWLEY, LOUISIANA The Acadia Parish Police Jury met on the above date at 6:30 p.m., in the Police Jury Meeting Room, Courthouse Building, Crowley, Louisiana, in regular session with the President, Cecelia B. Chambers, presiding. At the request of the President, a moment of silence was offered and the Pledge to the Flag was recited in unison. WHEREAS, the Acadia Parish Police Jury advertised for an oil, gas and mineral lease as provided by law for all of the oil rights in and to any highways, rights-of-way, streets, roads, lanes and alleys or other lands owned by and not presently under mineral lease from the Acadia Parish Police Jury, Acadia Parish, Louisiana in the following described property: Beginning at a point having Coordinates of X = 1,631,816.61 and Y = 527,774.00; thence West 4,711.96 feet to a point having Coordinates of X = 1,627,104.65 and Y= 527,774.00; thence South 4,973.99 feet to a point having Coordinates of X = 1,627,104.65 and Y = 522,800.01; thence East 4,711.96 feet to a point having Coordinates of X = 1,631,816.61 and Y = 522,800.01; thence North 4,973.99 feet to the point of beginning, containing approximately 7 Acres. Construction Code Council (LSUCCC) presented the requirements of ACT 12
regarding the Uniform Construction Code for Louisiana. PUBLIC ROADS AND
BRIDGES RESOLUTION 10-06-05 BY MESSERS ALTON STEVENSON AND FELTON MOREAU Whereas, the Acadia Parish Police Jury recognizes the importance of providing safe, and secure primary and alternate routes for its citizens in event of an order of evacuation; and Whereas, Acadia Parish Road 2-26, also known as Morrow Road, is an unpaved, graveled road that is an alternate evacuation route due to closure of the Bayou Plaquemine Brule bridge and parts of Louisiana Highway 13 because of reconstruction and road improvements; and,NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Acadia Parish Police Jury in regular session duly convened this 3rd day of October, 2006, does hereby respectfully request that the Louisiana Department of Transportation, with the support of its legislative delegation, approve and grant funding for the improvement and hard surfacing of Acadia Parish Road 2-26 with approval of funding dependent upon the granting of right of servitude by property owners along said road. CLOSING THERE BEING NO FURTHER BUSINESS TO COME BEFORE THE MEETING, THE MOTION WAS OFFERED DULY SECONDED, THAT THE MEETING ADJOURN UNTIL THE NEXT REGULARLY SCHEDULED MEETING OF OCTOBER 17, 2006, AT THE HOUR OF 6:30 P.M.
