The Acadia Parish Police Jury met on the above date at 6:30 p.m., in the Police Jury Meeting Room, Courthouse Building, Crowley, Louisiana, in regular session with the President, A. J. Broussard, presiding. At the request of the President, a moment of silence was offered and the Pledge to the Flag was recited in unison. A motion was offered by Mr. Alton Stevenson and seconded by Mrs. Cecelia Chambers to accept the recommendation of the Landfill Supervisor to hire Charlie Harmon as an heavy equipment operator effective July 16, 2007 with a starting salary of $9.00 per hour, provided all hiring requirements are met. Motion carried.A motion was offered by Mrs. Cecelia Chambers and seconded by Mr. Alton Stevenson to hire the following effective July 16, 2007, provided all hiring requirements are individually met. BE IT RESOLVED: by the Acadia Parish Police Jury in regular session duly convened this 3rd day of July, 2007, does hereby authorize the Parish Solid Waste Engineer to make the revisions to the Solid Waste Collection contract as discussed in the June 26, 2007 Special Solid Waste, Environmental Control Committee meeting.BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Solid Waste Engineer is authorized to include specifications for bids on the Solid Waste Collection contract to include fully automated collection with bulk waste collection and fully automated without bulk waste collection.
