Chairman Gossen called the meeting to order and the Secretary called roll.
Members Present: Members Absent: Charles Andrus Randall Boutte Blane Faulk Thomas Sonnier, V-Chairman Joey Savoie Clyde Hebert Jason Gossen, Chairman Catherine LaCombe Mary Richard
A motion was offered by Charles Andrus and seconded by Joey Savoie to approve the minutes of the meeting held August 15, 2006. Motion carried.
The President convened a public hearing to receive comments on Oak Manor Estates, a 33 lot development situated on 19.985 acres of land in Section 24, T-9-S, R-2_E adjoining Quarter Pole Road in Acadia Parish. No comments were received and the President closed the hearing.
The Parish Engineer listed the following specific issues related to the preliminary review of Oak Manor Estates.
· Letters from Health Department and Water Corporation needed · $75 Application fee required
The developer suggested the use of a common ditch between Oak Manor and Quarter Pole Estates for sewer collection. The Parish Engineer did not agree as it becomes a maintenance challenge. It was suggested that the Health Department be notified of this concern.
A motion was offered by Mary Richard and seconded by Catherine LaCombe to grant conditional approval of Oak Manor Estates located in Section 24, T-9-S, R-2-E in Acadia Parish requiring sewer discharge to the public road as suggested by the Parish Engineer. Motion carried.
The Commission considered the preliminary application submitted for Humming Bird Estate Phase II and the Parish Engineer offered the following remarks:
· Distinguish Rt-of-Passage more clearly · Better define drainage easement · Submit to water corp
A motion was offered by Mary Richard and seconded by Clyde Hebert to grant conditional approval of Humming Bird Estate Phase II situated in Section 14, T-9-S, R-2-E, Acadia Parish. Motion carried.
The next meeting was scheduled for November 21, 2006.
Due to further business, the meeting was adjourned.
