LADIES & GENTLEMEN:
Notice is hereby given that a Special Meeting
of the Acadia Parish Police Jury will
be held in the Police Jury Meeting Room, Courthouse Building,
Crowley, Louisiana, at 6:30 P.M., on, Monday, December 19, 2005, to
consider the following item:
AGENDA:
1. Address the future of economic development in Acadia Parish.
2. Presentations by local and state economic development officials.

ACADIA PARISH POLICE JURY
We, the undersigned members of the Acadia Parish Police Jury, do
hereby accept such service of the foregoing notice, waiving any and
all irregularities in such service and such notice and consent and
agree that said Police Jury of Acadia shall meet at the time and
place named therein and for the purpose therein stated.

The President advised that the purpose of convening the special
meeting was to oblige members of the Acadia Economic Development
Group who wished to lobby for the funding of a Parishwide Economic
Development Program.
Mr. Blane Koch, Chairman of I-Acadia, noted the organization was
unable to continue to function without additional funding. Other
members of the I-Acadia Executive Board addressed the Jury along
with economic development support groups all emphasizing its
importance.
No action was taken.
THERE BEING NO FURTHER BUSINESS TO COME BEFORE THE MEETING,
THE MOTION WAS OFFERED DULY SECONDED, THAT THE MEETING ADJOURN UNTIL
THE NEXT REGULARLY SCHEDULED MEETING OF DECEMBER 20, 2005, AT THE
HOUR OF 6:30 P.M.
