LADIES & GENTLEMEN:

Notice is hereby given that a Special Meeting of the Acadia Parish Police Jury will be held in the Police Jury Meeting Room, Courthouse Building, Crowley, Louisiana, at 4:00 P.M., on, Wednesday, March 22, 2006, to consider the following items:

AGENDA:

Litigation/Prospective Litigation

a. Pickett Industries, Inc. vs. Acadia Parish Police Jury.

b. Sandra LeJeune Perrodin vs. Acadia Parish Police Jury, Docket
    #84221.

c. Michael G. Boudreaux vs. Acadia Parish Police Jury, Docket
    #82521.

THE JURY ANTICIPATES ADJOURNING INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION.

We, the undersigned members of the Acadia Parish Police Jury, do hereby accept such service of the foregoing notice, waiving any and all irregularities in such service and such notice and consent and agree that said Police Jury of Acadia shall meet at the time and place named therein and for the purpose therein stated.

A motion was offered by Mr. A. J. Credeur, seconded by Mr. John Humble, Sr., to adjourn into executive session to consider the matters related to prospective litigation with Pickett Industries vs. Acadia Parish Police Jury, Sandra LeJeune Perrodin vs. Acadia Parish Police Jury, Docket #84221 and Michael G. Boudreaux vs. Acadia Parish Police Jury, Docket #82521. The following roll call votes was cast: Yeas: Alton Stevenson, A. J. Broussard, John Humble, Sr., Cecelia B. Chambers and A. J. Credeur. Motion carried.

The President reconvened the meeting following the executive session.

A motion was offered by Mr. John Humble, Sr., seconded by Mr. A. J. Credeur, to authorize Legal Counsel to negotiate with Pickett Industries a solution to the Landfill liner construction project claims. Motion carried.

A motion was offered by Mr. Alton Stevenson, seconded by Mr. John Humble, Sr., to deny the settlement offer made by Michael G. Boudreaux. Motion carried.

THERE BEING NO FURTHER BUSINESS TO COME BEFORE THE MEETING, THE MOTION WAS OFFERED DULY SECONDED, THAT THE MEETING ADJOURN UNTIL THE NEXT REGULARLY SCHEDULED MEETING OF APRIL 4, 2006, AT THE HOUR OF 6:30 P.M.
