LADIES & GENTLEMEN:
Notice is hereby given that a Special Meeting of the
Acadia Parish Police Jury will be held in the Police Jury Meeting
Room, Courthouse Building, Crowley, Louisiana, at 4:45 P.M., on,
Wednesday, December 12, 2007, to consider the following items:
AGENDA:
1. To approve bid for five Landfill Grappler Trucks.
2. To approve 2007 budget adjustments

ACADIA PARISH POLICE JURY
We, the undersigned members of the Acadia Parish Police Jury, do
hereby accept such service of the foregoing notice, waiving any and
all irregularities in such service and such notice and consent and
agree that said Police Jury of Acadia shall meet at the time and
place named therein and for the purpose therein stated.

Vice President Cade Benoit called the meeting to order.
Mr. Tim Mader, Mader Engineering, presented a
letter to members on the bids for the five grappler trucks. He
stated that the only problem would be the delivery time.
RESOLUTION
BY MESSRS: JOHN HUMBLE SR AND ALTON STEVENSON
WHEREAS, the Acadia Parish Police Jury advertised for bids in
the Official Journal for five new Grappler Trucks.
WHEREAS, the sole bid received was as follows:

Lingo International $565,478.53
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Acadia
Parish Police Jury in special session duly convened on this the 12th
day of December, 2007, does hereby accept the bid submitted by Lingo
International in the amount of Five Hundred Sixty-five Thousand Four
Hundred Seventy-eight and 53/100 Dollars ($565,478.53) for the
purchase of five new grappler trucks.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the President of this Police Jury
be and he is hereby empowered, authorized and directed to execute a
contract with Lingo International, on behalf of, in the name and
under the seal of the Acadia Parish Police Jury relative to the
purchase of said equipment.

I
t was noted that the timetable of
delivery is as follows: first and second truck will be delivered the
week of February 25, 2008, the third truck is scheduled for delivery
the week of March 3, 2008, the fourth truck is scheduled for
delivery the week of March 10, 2008 and the fifth truck is scheduled
for delivery the week of March 17, 2008.
A motion was offered by Mr. Jimmie Pellerin,
seconded by Mr. Alton Stevenson, to approve the year end budget
adjustments as presented and further authorize the final adjusting
entries to bring the 2007 budget into compliance. Motion carried.
THERE BEING NO FURTHER BUSINESS TO COME BEFORE THE MEETING, THE
MOTION WAS OFFERED DULY SECONDED, THAT THE MEETING ADJOURN UNTIL THE
NEXT REGULARLY SCHEDULED MEETING OF JANUARY 14, 2008, AT THE HOUR
OF 6:30 P.M.
