Notice is hereby given that a Special Meeting of the Acadia Parish Police Jury will be held in the Police Jury Meeting Room, Courthouse Building, Crowley, Louisiana, at 6:00 P.M., on, Tuesday, April 1, 2008, to consider the following item:

ACADIA PARISH POLICE JURYWe, the undersigned members of the Acadia Parish Police Jury, do hereby accept such service of the foregoing notice, waiving any and all irregularities in such service and such notice and consent and agree that said Police Jury of Acadia shall meet at the time and place named therein and for the purpose therein stated.

/s/ Felton MoreauDiscussion was held regarding the implementation of a mosquito control program.
A motion was offered by Mr. John Quebodeaux, seconded by Mr. Felton Moreau, and carried to authorize the President to enter into a 60 day contract with Mosquito Control Contractors, Inc., ending no later than June 10, 2008 and to authorize the Secretary to advertise for a Mosquito Control Director to possibly re-institute the Parish’s in-house program.
THERE BEING NO FURTHER BUSINESS TO COME BEFORE THE MEETING, THE MOTION WAS OFFERED DULY SECONDED, THAT THE MEETING ADJOURN UNTIL THE NEXT REGULARLY SCHEDULED MEETING OF APRIL 8, 2008, AT THE HOUR OF 6:30 P.M.
