Notice is hereby given that a Special Meeting
of the Acadia Parish Police Jury will be held in the Police Jury
Meeting Room, Courthouse Building, Crowley, Louisiana, on Tuesday,
October 27, 2009, at 6:00 P.M., to consider the following items:
AGENDA:
1. Adopt the proposed list to be
submitted for the Acadia Parish Police Jury’s Gustav-Ike
CDBG Disaster Recovery Grant Application.
2. Authorizing the President to sign the
Gustav-Ike Disaster Recovery Grant proposal to be submitted
to Louisiana Recovery Authority.

the undersigned members of the Acadia Parish Police Jury, do hereby
accept such service of the foregoing notice, waiving any and all
irregularities in such service and such notice and consent and agree
that said Police Jury of Acadia shall meet at the time and place
named therein and for the purpose therein stated.

MESSRS: KERMIT RICHARD AND FELTON MOREAU
WHEREAS,
the Office of Community Development Disaster Recovery Unit (OCD DRU)
is accepting Pre-Submission Recovery Proposal forms for Community
Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for parish recovery projects
associated with Hurricanes Gustav and Ike, and
WHEREAS,
Acadia Parish intends to apply for the initial allocations of CDBG
funds as designed in the Gustav/Ike Action Plan Amendment, and
WHEREAS,
the Pre-Submission Recovery Proposal Form outlines
parish recovery needs and estimated allocations for each recovery
activity, and
WHEREAS,
the Acadia Parish Police Jury has held numerous public hearings,
including citizens and the Mayors of Acadia Parish in receiving
details on parish recovery needs and priorities, proposed
activities, and proposed allocation of funds for those activities.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,
by the Acadia Parish
Police Jury does hereby approve and adopt the attached list of
Projects to be submitted with the Parish Hurricanes Gustav and Ike
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Application Recovery
Proposal Form.
