RESPONSIBILITIES
Acadia Parish Building and Grounds Department is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the Acadia Parish Courthouse and grounds.
Acadia Parish has been through three courthouses. The first was built in 1887 – 1902, the second was build in 1902 – 1951, and finally the third was built in 1950 which is still present and being used to serve Acadia Parish.
